Seven kilometres south between Bruny Island and the Tasmanian mainland, past vineyards and, weather permitting, Green Island Nature Reserve.
Pull on waders, step into cool clear water and pick your oysters straight from the racks, guided by a farmer with 40 years on this water.
Learn to shuck on board, then eat them fresh with a glass of Mewstone wine from the vineyard overlooking the farm. Terroir meets merroir.

On the water with us
This is a working marine farm on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, not a set-up for visitors. You sail out with the farmers, step into the water, pull your own oysters off the racks and eat them minutes later with a glass of Mewstone wine grown on the hill above.
Small groups, no rush, plenty of stories — and, weather permitting, seals, dolphins and the occasional whale on the way past Green Island Nature Reserve.
